The Foundation that carries the name of Tose Proeski began its activities in January 2008, and is founded in order to preserve the memory of the noble personality and character of Tose Proeski, as well as to continue his deed in the areas of both music and humanity.
The Foundation is an NGO founded in Krusevo, characterized with a detailed plan for international presence through undergone activities in Macedonia, the Balkan areas and throughout the world. As a legal entity, the Foundation is active in regulated frames affirmed and realized by a Board that is consisted of eleven members including Tose's closest relatives and members of his family, as well as distinguished individuals, professionals from the musical, educational and media fields in Macedonia. The Foundation is proud to include in its members eminent individuals like Elizabeta Kancevska - Mileska, Taki Fiti, Erol Rizaov and others. Beside the Board of members, the Foundation also includes a Surveying Board as well as a committee in charge of separate areas of activities that comply with the Foundation's purposes. The President of the Foundation is Mr. Nikola Proeski, while the Executive Director of the Foundation is Mr. Andrej Nikoloski.
Amongst the program activities of the International Foundation Tose Proeski are:
- Promotion of the character and life's work - the music and humanitarian achievements of Tose Proeski;
- Continuance of his work and his biggest wish - to offer a helping hand;
- Realization of humanitarian concerts in honor of Tose, as a manner of collecting funds
needed for:
- - realization of humanitarian activities;
- - offering aid to priority defenseless groups;
- - promotion of positive life aspects for younger generations;
- - activities that increase vice awareness;
- - youth inspiration of new positive and useful manners for free time management;
- Scholarship for musical talents;
- Contact and close cooperation with Tose Proeski's fans;
- Further promotion of his music;
- Promotion of the Macedonian musical culture throughout realization of different activities both inside and outside the country, in cooperation with Embassies and Consular representatives of Macedonia throughout the world, as well as in cooperation with other institutions and organizations;
- Realization of activities and campaigns for promotion of health and positive life styles for younger generations;
- Involvement of the Foundation in the frames of European and world programs for development of peace, musical culture, volunteerism and informal education;
- Cooperation with other foundations and NGO's for activities according to affirmed program purposes of the International Foundation "Tose Proeski".
From the day it was founded, and in a period of almost one year, all undergone activities by the Foundation that carries on the humane mission of Tose Proeski, are constantly justifying the name the Foundation carries - one name with a great heart.
Tose constantly carried God inside him, whilst constantly affirming his belief and faith throughout his humanism, music and his words. In honor of his great love, The Foundation will continue to act while preserving the spirit and faith when following the two greatest Christian commandments - the love towards God and towards the human kind.
In only a period of few months, the Foundation through all of its undergone activities is already present throughout most of Macedonia. Having in mind the obligations involved, the Foundation participates in areas where it can contribute towards a better future for all of the children by bringing them joy through enrichment of their everyday life, or through efforts to modernize the environment in which children take medical care or live in. The children still have Tose as their best friend whilst the Foundation nourishes this relation through offering assistance in funds intended for dispensaries that offer medical treatment to youth. The Foundation donated medical equipment, aid and toys for infants and small children orphans from Majcin Dom in Bitola, for the Children's Clinic in Skopje, for the Traumatic Clinic - St.Erazmo in Ohrid, as well as for numerous kinder gardens throughout Macedonia.
At the same time, besides the Foundation's unselfish support and funds offered to aid physical entities in their time of need for urgent medical treatments and operations, a lot has been done to asist socially endangered individuals and families, through direct donations in food and hygiene products.
In order to preserve and cherish the tradition begun, the Foundation participates through donation of funds in construction of Church St.Gjorgjija in village of Ostrilci, as well as in construction of Church St.Vasilij in Krusevo.
Under the auspices of the Macedonian Government, and with support offered by the Macedonian Ministry of culture, with direct cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation, a Museum/Memorial house was founded in Krusevo as a way to preserve Tose's complete life music and humanitarian achievements. Also, this mutual cooperation succeeds in complete construction of Tose's eternal place of rest, making sure the location is available for visitation to all of his Macedonian and international fans.
The International Foundation "Tose Proeski" will carry on realizing its activities while continuously following the founded greater cause of its existence - preservation and contribution towards Tose Proeski's act, as well as towards it's further promotion for both the benefit of younger generations as well as increasing the level of culture in Republic of Macedonia.
If our actions testify our existence, than the continuance of Tose Proeski's achievements would also testify his existence continuity.
The concert will take place on 5th of October, on the location of the Skopje City Stadium (exactly one year after Tose's last big concert held on the same place) as a fulfillment of last year given promise towards the present audience. The concert is also an affirmation that our ANGEL WITH A GREAT HEART will still be present in both the music and the humanitarian areas of everyday life.
